We are so excited to welcome all of our students back to school tomorrow!
Here are a few important reminders:
1) Road Closure – 131st Street
The City has announced that 131st St. will be closed for construction for about three weeks. Please follow all posted detour signs and watch for workers on the road. Drivers can bypass the area by using E 121st St S or E 141st St S. Plan to leave earlier than usual to account for the alternate routes.
2) Morning Drop-Off Procedures
Pre-K & Kindergarten:
Drop off is on the west side of the school (closest to their hallway) beginning at 8:05.Pre-K goes directly to class or breakfast.
Kindergarten goes to the cafeteria for breakfast or waits for teacher pick-up.
Older siblings of Pre-K/K students may also be dropped off here.
1st – 3rd Grade:
Drop off is at the front office and begins at 7:50.1st & 2nd Grade: Breakfast in the cafeteria, then wait in the library.
3rd Grade: Breakfast in the cafeteria or wait there for teacher pick-up.
3) Morning Start Times
Teachers will pick up students from the library or cafeteria at 8:25. Announcements begin at 8:30, so please make sure your child is inside and ready to learn before that time. A smooth morning leads to a smooth day!
